The Muslims of Long Island is a New York-based registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded during the COVID-19 pandemic to address the growing needs of the local community. What began as a response to an unprecedented global crisis has since evolved into a multifaceted organization dedicated to providing assistance both locally and internationally.
As our community service grew, so did our scope of impact. Today, the Muslims of Long Island continues to expand its charitable work beyond New York, engaging in vital international humanitarian projects. These efforts include addressing water insecurity in vulnerable regions, providing aid to displaced refugees, and facilitating medical initiatives such as cataract surgeries to restore sight to those in need. Through partnerships and collaborations, we strive to alleviate suffering, restore dignity, and provide hope to those facing adversity across the globe.
In addition to our charitable programs, we emphasize fostering community connections. Our organization provides a platform for individuals, families, and various groups to communicate, collaborate, and share information about local events and initiatives. By bringing people together, we help build a stronger, more cohesive community that thrives on unity and mutual support.
As we continue to grow and adapt to the needs of our community, both locally and globally, we remain steadfast in our mission to serve with empathy, generosity, and unwavering dedication. We invite you to join us in making a difference—together, we can create a more compassionate world for all.
Our mission centers on the core values of Community, Charity, and Compassion. At the height of the pandemic, we focused on ensuring that our neighbors had access to essential resources, including food and basic necessities. Through these efforts, the Muslims of Long Island became a trusted support network for families and individuals grappling with the health and economic effects of the pandemic.
At the heart of the Muslims of Long Island is our commitment to serving with compassion. Whether it’s providing hot meals to the hungry, aiding those affected by international crises, or facilitating spaces for community dialogue, we are driven by a profound sense of responsibility to uplift others. Through every act of service, we aim to embody our values of Community, Charity, and Compassion and to create a lasting, positive impact on those we serve.
