Muslims of Long Island, a dedicated 501c3 organization, has been a beacon of hope for the Long Island community for over three years. Every two weeks, their team embarks on a mission to distribute 150 hot meals to those in need. This consistent effort has provided countless individuals with a warm and nourishing meal during times of hardship.
The organization’s commitment to serving the community is especially evident during the holy month of Ramadan. In the final ten nights of Ramadan, Muslims of Long Island extends its reach to feed over 300 people each evening. This generous act of service not only provides sustenance but also strengthens the bonds of compassion and solidarity within the community.
By providing hot meals and other essential resources, Muslims of Long Island is making a tangible difference in the lives of those facing challenges. Their efforts are a testament to the organization’s unwavering dedication to serving their community and promoting a culture of compassion and care.
Our mission centers on the core values of Community, Charity, and Compassion. At the height of the pandemic, we focused on ensuring that our neighbors had access to essential resources, including food and basic necessities. Through these efforts, the Muslims of Long Island became a trusted support network for families and individuals grappling with the health and economic effects of the pandemic.
We are providing food to the homeless, urban poor, and physically-challenged through
a soup kitchen program variations.
