The Muslims of Long Island were recently approached with a request to provide 20 nebulizers for a clinic in Pakistan that serves individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The cost of these machines was approximately 100,000 PKR (around $360 at the exchange rate at the time).

An appeal was made to the community, and within just two hours, $965 was raised—significantly surpassing the initial goal. The surplus funds were utilized to purchase additional supplies, including medication for the nebulizers, glucose monitoring devices and their strips, as well as blood pressure medication. These resources have expanded the clinic’s ability to treat even more patients in need.

We are pleased to share that this initiative has already had a profound impact on many lives. Alhamdulillah, the generosity of the community has made a meaningful difference.
