In our mission to provide clean, safe water to those who need it most, Muslims of Long Island, in partnership with CoPilot Cares and NAM Helping Hands, recently visited Kasur, Pakistan—a region where over 100 water pumps have been installed in villages that previously had no access to clean drinking water.
We met families who, for years, had to walk miles every single day to fetch water—often from sources that were anything but safe. They shared heart-wrenching stories of illness, hardship, and the overwhelming struggle to secure something as basic as water. But today, everything has changed. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, these villages now have access to fresh, clean water right at their doorstep.
The sight of mothers, fathers, and children joyfully filling their water containers with clean, life-giving water was truly moving. It was a powerful reminder of why this mission is so critical. Clean water is not just a necessity—it is life itself. It means improved health, new opportunities, and a brighter, more hopeful future for these communities.
