Muslims of Long Island, a dedicated 501c3 organization, is embarking on a transformative project to address the pressing issue of cataracts in Pakistan. Beginning in February 2025, the organization will establish two eye camps in Shikarpur and the outskirts of Faisalabad, providing free cataract surgeries to a total of 300 individuals.
Cataracts, a leading cause of blindness worldwide, significantly impact the quality of life for countless people. By offering these free surgeries, Muslims of Long Island aims to restore sight and empower individuals in these communities to lead more independent and fulfilling lives.
The organization is partnering with qualified health professionals to conduct the cataract surgeries. These dedicated medical experts will provide their services pro bono, ensuring that the surgeries are performed with the highest level of care and expertise.
Muslims of Long Island is committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by cataracts. By providing free surgeries and restoring vision, the organization is not only addressing a medical need but also empowering individuals to participate fully in their communities and contribute to their economic development.
Through this initiative, Muslims of Long Island is demonstrating its dedication to improving the health and well-being of people in need. By investing in eye health, the organization is helping to build a brighter future for communities in Pakistan.
