A new hand pump is now in use in Rajanpur, Pakistan. In the photos shared with Muslims of Long Island, water flows from the pump into a vessel while members of the local community stand nearby.
The pump is dedicated in loving memory of Zafar Iqbal Arshad (1982–2026). Its plaque remembers him as a beloved brother and uncle who will remain forever in his family’s hearts.
We are grateful to everyone who helped bring this project to completion. Seeing the water flow is a meaningful moment for the family who dedicated the pump and for all of us at Muslims of Long Island. We pray that it continues to benefit the people who use it for years to come.
May Allah grant Zafar Iqbal Arshad mercy, raise his rank, and accept this project as sadaqah jariyah on his behalf. May He also reward everyone who contributed to making it possible. Ameen.
