Mental Health Wellness Conference: Depression, A Silent Epidemic

The Muslim Families and Children’s Association will host its 2026 New York Mental Health Wellness Conference on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Azka Hall in Elmont.

The conference will bring together mental health professionals, educators, and Islamic scholars to address depression from clinical, social, and Islamic perspectives. Presentations will explore depression across different stages of life, the stigma surrounding mental health, available treatments, the diagnosis of depression, and Quranic lessons that can provide guidance and hope.
